Heat Pump Info Days (Wärmepumpen-Infotage)
A nationwide event format for municipalities to get clean heat moving. Large events in German towns and cities with manufacturer-independent expert advice from ENERGIESPARKOMMISSAR Carsten Herbert, Dr. Marek Miara, Dr. Jens Clausen and Anja Floetenmeyer-Woltmann, plus advice marathons with local installers. More than 12,500 participants since autumn 2025. A scalable municipal model for owners of single- and two-family homes, and since the 2026/2027 season also for multi-family buildings. Evaluated result: up to 98% conviction rate, a shift from scepticism to readiness to act. 92% of respondents plan concrete next steps afterwards.

For the German Energy Agency (dena) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. 550 events, 150 stakeholders trained, 50,000 people reached. Target groups: residents, professionals, politicians. Result: stronger trust in politics and in heat pump technology, audiences informed simply and activated directly. In 2024 I was on stage myself in Lower Saxony and Thuringia. Applications for heat pump funding tripled, and every euro triggered €300–500 of market investment.
Delivered with the MADSACK publishing house, the Hannover Region, the City of Hannover, the public transport operator ÜSTRA and the energy supplier enercity: a 12-month campaign for climate-friendly mobility. 40 million contacts through cross-media formats. Result: a broad public debate and clear steps for the mobility transition.

Heat pump communication
Technology is not everything, in energy advice too. In this episode of the Gebäudewende podcast I explain the psychology of successful consultations: trust, emotional triggers and the right tone for the “broad middle”, who care less about technology than about security, stability and reliability.
