Communicating effectively in energy advice
Energy advisers deliver good figures and sound recommendations. For clients to actually decide, advice needs a second layer: how people really make decisions, between their need for security, their fear of loss and a look at what the neighbours do. Using examples from heating advice, Germany’s Heat Pump Week and the Heat Pump Info Days, I show how language, structure and a simple first step turn advice sessions into decisions.
